Jesus.....

This book was even better than the first. These characters grew so much more in this novel and I did not want to put it down.

Also, holy hell with these characters. I ship Zwaantie with one person, then I realize that she should be with someone else. And it breaks my heart. Seriously.

Plus, the kingdom of Stella is so awesome! With its magic and such, I like it a lot better than Sol. Although, maybe that's because I don't like that voice.

Having just finished this, my emotions are all in a funk. I need more. I need these characters to be happy. Gahhhhh!

Thank you Jesus! Loth has definitely made up for that boring first book I give this one 4.5 stars! In this one Zwaantie isn’t in Sol anymore, but finally in Stella. Where Sol is dull and boring with no mages in sight Stella is filled with the stars and lights, with magic and fun. Thankfully Zwaantie doesn’t want to go back to Sol which is a relief to me. Seriously I can’t read anymore about Sol it was so dull. I knew her and Phoenix wouldn’t last, and quite frankly I’m relieved that he told her he just wasn’t into her, I personally didn’t think they had much of a connection and neither do her and Leo. I’m real Ari at this point. They’ve been really connecting as friends, getting to know each other and I feel have an actual connection. So besides trying not to get murdered by people in Stella some actual action is happening in the kingdom and I can’t wait to find out who she will end up with and how she is going to save Stella at this point.

Prince of the Moon by Kimberly Loth is book two in her Stella and Sol series. In this book we pick right up where we left off in book one with Zwaantie and Leo finally finishing their journey through the wall. The wall has taken one of her memories from her but she has no idea which one it has taken but one of her first thoughts is of finding Phoenix and continuing with her plan to run away with him. But things don’t go as she planned. Stella is not what Zwaantie really expected. There is darkness but she expected to see the stars but thanks to the magic that sustains Stella there are lights that are bright enough to block them out until they get away from them. While Zwaantie is determined to find Phoenix she finds herself liking certain aspects of Stella. But while Sol had its own dangers as well she quickly learns that there are dangerous monsters that prowl after midnight in Stella and that the magic all goes away. But more once she removes the necklace that Leo gave her she quickly learns that the Voice has managed to follow her through the wall and that it is not going to leave her alone. Stella is very different from Sol, and a lot is dependent on Zwaantie and Leo getting married and bringing the two kingdoms together but can she do it or will it all be in vain and lives ultimately lost?
Prince of the Moon is another engaging story by Kimberly Loth and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. When we start the story Zwaantie is still the spoiled selfish self-absorbed girl that she was when she decided that she was going to attempt to throw it all away to run away with Phoenix. Even when Leo tells her the full truth about why they need to get married and the consequences if they don’t she still only thinks of throwing away the lives of so many just for what it is that she wants. There are many new characters that we are introduced to in this story and I have to say that I really like Ari and Sage. Sage is the fun loving sister who gets into mischief and is always looking for a good time and Ari is the heir to the throne with a secret of his own but known as a notorious playboy among the girls. Zwaantie begins to find herself liking certain aspects of Stella but her focus is mostly on Phoenix and most can tell that she’s really not into Leo at all and that she is mostly going through the motions.
Now, as much as I love this story there are some editorial and grammatical errors that pop up from time to time. But other than that this is a really well written story. The characters are all very dynamic and while Zwaantie has her predictable moments it keeps you turning page after page as you read to learn what happens next with the characters and as to whether she finds Phoenix and what will happen from there. Danger is brewing on many fronts and Zwaantie needs to decide what her path will be and put her whole heart into it or all will be lost.
I am giving this book 5 out of 5 stars. I am a huge fan of this series and absolutely love the characters. While we start out with Zwaantie being mostly focused on what it is that she wants and focusing on the extreme differences between Stella and Sol we see get to see her develop and begin to mature. This story hits us with a double whammy of a cliff hanger at the end and I honestly can say that I cannot wait for the next book in this series.
I received a copy of this book for review.
