this book made me want to cry the same way interstellar or space documentaries do. the distance of space, the not knowing if those you love still exist, or anything exists for that matter. i love the ending, and the characters, and the worlds described

I thought this book was really amazing. It's a novella, and usually I'm left dissatisfied at the end of a novella: I want more. More of the world, or the characters, or even plot.
But this was just perfect. Heartbreaking, poignant, sweet, thoughtful are all words I'd use to describe it. It's well written, it's stayed in my mind long after I read it, and I do wish there was more like this novella out there. Easily 5/5 stars.

i can't think of a single drawback of this novella so i must rate it 5 stars. i would have gulped this down in a single day were it not for it being forcibly spaced out due to work which allowed me to ruminate (to its benefit). there’s no words i can say about the writing that can describe it more than it already does, so dynamic (weather that resents people, geothermal lullaby, atmosphere’s choreography) and exuding unlimited beauty. she explains scientific concepts like no other… and funnily enough this excerpt about science can probably resonate with her writing as well: ”The work is tedious. It is slow. It is not for everyone, even though the end results are.”
4.5 Very good. I hope space travel is that easy in the future. There were a few sentences I really didn't like.
