This is a quiet, contemplative story. Like some of Becky Chambers' other novels, if you are expecting lots of action or plot, this is not the book for you. However, if you want to read an ultimately hopeful story about four astronauts discovering life on other planets, philosophy, a lot of science, and the ups and downs of their daily lives, you might enjoy this.

I listened to this on audiobook and really liked the narrator. I also unexpectedly cried a few times, just from feeling very moved by particular moments. While this wasn't a five star read for me, it was still quite enjoyable. Listening to the audiobook was the right move for me here, as I think it might be too slow-paced for me to fully enjoy if I was reading it physically.
