The apparent death of his wife leaves Thorgal in a state of resignation and self destruction. Taken care of by the person that hurt his family in the first place, they both seek redemption and a new hope as evidence of Aaricia’s existence reach him. This part reads and feels like a middle chapter to the story, setting up things to come.

Starting a series at book 5 isn't the most logical thing to do for someone with OCD tendencies like moi, but this was an amazing read. I was worried I wouldn't get the context, but I was able to understand the story. The plot is interesting and original. The art is beautiful. I highly recommend it.
