I found the first 36 pages very hard to get through (which I know isn’t a lot but it’s a fairly short book) and I thought I wouldn’t ever be able to remember/tell the characters apart anyway. Then it definitely got more interesting, a lot more fast-paced (& I actually knew who was who) and although I still don’t really like the writing style - I know it’s a classic and was written more than 80 yrs ago but still - it was overall not bad and I didn’t expect the ending

This book has a very interesting premise. 10 people are stuck on an island and being picked off one by one. But who has done it?

Personally, I didn't enjoy this book. This has nothing to do with the author herself as I've read a book of hers before and enjoyed it very much. Instead it has to do with the way it was written. Since the very start you have a very good idea of what is going to go on, but you also don't get to build any relationship with the characters before their inevitable deaths. I didn't actually care about any of them dying out. My only pluses for this book were the intrigue of the plot itself and the way the author added in elements of their madness deepening.

I'm not sure if I'd recommend this book to others. I'd personally see into other books by this author because this feels like it may be a complete hit or miss depending on the person.

The first detective story I ever read was Anthony Horowitz's I Know What You Did Last Wednesday, which directly spoofs the plot of this novel, so it was inevitable that And Then There Were None would hold a special place in my heart. This is one of Christie's darker, more misanthropic novels, lacking the familiar comforting presence of Poirot or Marple. Ten strangers, each with a guilty conscience, trapped on an island, with an unknown killer picking them off one at a time. It's the ultimate locked room mystery, and there's no escape, as the tension, paranoia, and suspicion all swell to an unforgettable crescendo.

This is the first and one of th best Christie book I ever read

For some simple crime fiction this book really has a page tuner plot. The story is fast but not hurry.

The way the characters turn insane by time other characters die is amazing
