Powerful account of three important women, their sons and lives. This book is written with a lot of care and impactful for me. I am left reflecting on the lack of information on these women, which the author points out and does her best to fill in.

While I would have liked to see more primary source material, Tubbs' book is a valuable addition to the record of these three women who were so instrumental in shaping their sons. A worthy read.
