Kind of liked a lot and didn't liked it at all at the same time. Loved the setting and the idea but the excecution could have been a lot better. It was a very pleasant read though.

I like it A LOT!! I wasn’t expecting to, being the sequel of such a classic! But the story is enjoyable and the deep exploring of some of the characters barely mentioned in Romeo and Juliet was very interesting! I honestly didn’t want it to end...!

I adore this book! The author does an amazing job of building on Shakespeare but creating an original, enthralling story all her own. I have read this book so many times. It is everything I love about YA! The two main characters have strong and vibrant personalities that nearly come off the page. I could spend all day in either of their heads. Love love love everything about this book!

Benvolio has a foot fetish 2k18

If you've ever wondered what might have happened to Capulets and Montagues after the events of Romeo and Juliet, this is a perfect book for you.

I picked it up because I used to watch Shonda Rhimes' TV series of the same name that was prematurely cancelled few years ago and I certainly wasn't disappointed (although I still do wish we could see this whole story on a screen). Rosaline and Benvolio are both much more likable than their cousins and their love story is much more mature and believable. The plot is enriched with a love triangle (which I surprisingly didn't find annoying) and a murder mystery. So what more can one ask for, right?

What I found interesting was the style in which this novel was written - the dialogues copy the Shakespearean English, while the narration is done in present day language and is therefore, very easy to navigate.

It was a very enjoyable read and there were very few things that bothered me. They're not even worth mentioning lol

Fourteen, slightly obessed with R&J Jess would've loved this. I still did.

Beautifuul take of life after Romeo and Juliet. Loved Rosaline and Benvolio.

It's been pointed out to me that I'm very stingy with my stars, so this one's getting five, because I loved reading it, but in my brain, it's a 4, because the trajectory of the story was nothing new for a YA.
