A fantastic YA romance/mystery that follows on the heels of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Well written with consistent language and good plot twists, I'd highly recommend this one for any fan of Shakespeare. There's a few Easter eggs in there!

En La mala estrella vemos la continuación de Romeo y Julieta ya que su muerte no iba a significar la paz entre las casas Capuleto y Montesco. Me gusta que haya intentado mantener un tono más clásico a la hora de escribir para que no fuera un salto muy grande entre los dos libros. Muy entretenido para pasar la tarde aunque no desarrolle una historia de amor muy ardiente.

I love a good retelling, and this examination of Verona post Romeo and Juliet (spoilers: they die) through the eyes of Rosaline was interesting and entertaining. Rosaline is given more personality than merely “virgin” and Benvolio, Romeo’s long suffering cousin, benefits from the same treatment. I truly enjoyed getting to experience a story I know so well from a fresh perspective. I even went and found the seven episodes of the I’ll-fated television series. A quick and engaging read, you won’t regret giving this one a chance.

Can I enjoy the resolution of a love triangle ever again now that Cassandra Clare introduced me to the concept of a polyamorous relationship in YA? Absolutely not
