Beautiful, clever use of language and quick plot turns throughout this imagining of the aftermath of Romeo & Juliet.

I loved it! I am very very familiar with Romeo and Juliet, and that's why I loved it. Such a fun continuation of the R + J story. I loved the characters, the plot twists, and even the predictability. Lots of fun little details from other Shakespearean works are sprinkled in too.

He encontrado lo que iba buscando una historia de amor que enganchase, si es cierto que algunas partes se me hicieron más pesadas que otras sin duda cumplió con mis espectativas (me ha enganchado bastante estoy escribiendo esto a las dos de la mañana)

oh this was lovely

Almost didn't read because of the off-putting cover, but I ended up liking it. I liked the protagonist. I enjoyed the world. SPOILER-ISH ALERT: you'll probably figure out in the first few chapters that there is a love triangle. I thought it was a little meh, but it went the way I wanted. How mad can you be?

Overall, it's good for YA romance. Definitely not Shakespeare, but intriguing enough to keep me reading.

This book was a surprise. It is too long and too full of peril episodes which feel repetitive after a while, but otherwise it was jolly good fun and seemed both respectful of and stylistically fitting to the source material, despite the genre change.

The length would prevent it from being very rereadable, but it is a good candidate for the rare occasions when I am in the mood for some adventure and shenanigans.
