An amazing read and excellent edition to the Golgotha series but found it a harder read due to the historical ties. R.S Belcher weaves a fantastic story using both fictional and real world issues.

I absolutely love this series! There was such a long gap between the last book & this one I was worried the author had just let the series go & it looks like several more books will be coming very soon. There is a LOT going on with in this novel & I just simply couldn't put it down.

We return to Golgotha to find it is still Golgotha. Weird and eerie things happen, evil people try to end the world, and Sheriff Highfather and his deputies put their lives on the line to protect the town and the people in it.

This is a return to form after the disappointing (for me) Queen of Swords. I think this series really needs the anchor of the town of Golgotha to tie the various plot lines together and make the book feel like a unified whole. This book has that, plus some surprising and funny breaks in the fifth wall.

If you liked the first two, you'll like this one.
