Absolutely, I 100% loved it. This is actually a book that made me realize I enjoy urban fantasy more. I don't recommend it to people who are starting on Fantasy as it is a bit challenging to get through the first 100 pages. SJM literally put all of the Fantasy creatures in a single city to show us how they co-exist through magic, politics, and humanity. Both the FMC and MMC are great people. I adore Hunt, and Bryce is one of my favorite FMCs. Let's just say this has the tropes of Friends-to-lovers, Co-workers, "Who did this to you?" and roommates for anyone wanting to know beforehand. I like how they grow throughout their relationship. The feeling that is conveyed in this book is an absolute gem. Both the beginning and the end have torn me to pieces. It has literally cried at 3 o'clock in the morning. However, it is a little bit long as it took me 10 days to finish, but It was worth it.

I am sorry, y'all ACOTAR peps, but CC has me in a chokehold. I can't wait to read House of Sky and Breath!

3.5-ish? the world building and depth of character backgrounds and relationships (even seemingly insignificant characters!) are really well done, and the plot both hooked me and kept me guessing. i just wish maas' writing was more mature — imo it undermines the story. i.e., i'm supposed to believe these people are incredibly intelligent and clever, but they're just constantly sticking their tongues out at each other in times of life and death?

This is one of my favorite books of all time. I just finished it for the second time and I already want to start it again. I love everything about this book: the characters, the plot, the story, the relationships, everything. This is urban fantasy at its finest.
