I continue to love this series, though this one is probably the weakest one so far. I wish the kidnapping storyline had continued longer than it did, as it was there really wasn't any danger and no high stakes with that plot line and it was over very quickly. The ending of this book also had a weaker cliffhanger and not one that necessarily makes me want to jump right in to the next one like the last one did. Overall still an absolute favorite series so far!

We're getting close to the final book in this series and I don't know if I'm going to be ready to let go...ugh. In the beginning Rome and Em find themselves in trouble by a new unknown enemy, they know they have to stay strong until backup gets there. That's all I'm giving away. We do get to see Em start to face her demons and opening up about her past letting the guy's in, and them learning to finally stop keeping secrets from her. They're finally starting to come together as a unit as they'll need it as they face what's coming their way.

Great and much needed addition

This book of the series was a much needed addition, and I don’t just mean to further the story along. While there were serious moments, most of this book was light and funny. A lot of healing started but the relationships had moments to grow stronger. Including Emerson and her brother Milo. There were some moments that had me completely laughing out loud.

I just felt that this book gave more happy feelings than the past books and it was needed. This is such a wonderful series!

If you haven’t started this series yet, I don’t know what you are waiting for! I can’t get enough of it! Usually I’m not a big fan of a long series and I’m bored after 3 or 4 books but that is definitely not the case with this series!

I think the part I enjoyed the most about this book is Emersyn’s character development. She’s gradually been coming into her own over the course of these books but in this one she really faced her trauma head on.

We also some really great relationship development with Emersyn and her men and I can’t wait to see them grow even more, especially Freddy. I just love him so much!

These books are just so amazing- lots of drama and emotion, plus so many excellent characters. I can’t wait for the next one!

Amazing!

Dang it Heather! How do you always manage to me ugly cry?!? The scenes with Freddie BREAK ME most of the time. But this book was just as amazing as expected. Heather manages to make you smile, to get your cardio in with the increased heart rate, trim your nails as you go through anxiety, and, of course, ugly cry for the catharsis. On the bright side the ending wasn't soul rending so I'll take it. To say that I fall in love a little more with these characters in every book would be a gross understatement. I genuinely can't pick a favorite and I love the dark adventure of this series.

I love this series so much. This review is definitely biased in favor of that, because my god did the first 22% of this book stress me out so badly. I honestly had to take a break, sit up, and drink some water before continuing. If I didn’t love this series (and Heather) so much, I’m not sure I would have opted into the stress!

The rest of the book was far less anxiety inducing. We learn a lot about Emersyn and the rest of the vandals, and there were plenty of feel good moments between her and the guys.

I sincerely appreciated that Heather ended this with a more gentle cliff hanger. My blood pressure couldn’t take anything stronger.

I cannot wait to get my hands on book seven!!

I really enjoyed this book. I love how far all of the characters have come. They are all loyal to a fault and they all are dealing with their own issues and helping one another overcome them. I love how this book really explored expanding the world outside of just the Vandals and who their allies and enemies are, their history and who the supporting characters are. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.
