Ugh, this was so boring. There really isn't any other adjective I can use to describe this. Vampire Academy had been, if not a promising, atleast an okay start. But Frostbite? Nope. It was as if somebody had forced Mead to write this in a week. The plot wasn't interesting, the characters were bland, and even if some of them had personality, they were bitches.

Lissa, one of the people I'd liked in the first of this series, played a negligible role here. Adrian, who I really liked in Bloodlines, was a complete arse. Christian, well, okay, I still liked him.

I already knew most of what was going to happen (In Bloodlines, Eddie mentions Mason's death, The whole Dimitri/Adrian/Rose thing is explained, pretty much everything is covered.)

There really wasn't anything remotely interesting in Frostbite, second of the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead.

There is one thing that constantly annoys me...how rose can be so childish... Some of the things that came out of her mouth was actually offensive and awkward. But I loved the ending very much and I can't wait to read #3.

There's potential but I'm done. I just can't with the grooming. We all know D and Rose will end up together somehow when she's "older" but he's literally shaping up her personality and she's so happy when he's pleased with her, I cannot endorse this.

I was ok with all the whiney teenager stuff cause, well, they ARE teenagers. We can clearly see Rose is slowly getting her shit together so that's not an issue. But ugh, can't be bothered with the weird power/age gap and then we get another older guy thrown in the mix. Let's just stop this.

The main character is too juvenile in some ways and then in very adult situations.

Planned to re-read the whole series after ca 10 years to see if I would still love the series as much as before. In conclusion, Rose Hathaway is annoying af and her whole "romantic" relationship with Dimitri has progressed too fast. You telling me they developed feelings for each other after like 2 months of knowing each other? Where is the development? The "we can't be together" slow-burn? Most likely not continue reading this series knowing what happens in the other books.
