Cute! No complaints, just a sweet lil story. No angst. Oh! One complaint. The Hudson Vally is nowhere near the Finger Lakes region, get a map.

Audiobook Review. I really enjoyed this book! It was like The Unhoneymooners meets The Holiday and it was really cute. Maybe a bit unrealistic but it was fast paced but detailed and I really enjoyed the storyline! It was a cute holiday book!!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Putnam books for sending me an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!
2.5⭐️ I really wanted to love this because the premise had so much potential, but it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. I loved the idea of best friends swapping vacations due to unexpected circumstances, but squeezing two romance stories into a 300-page book felt like too much. I’m not a huge fan of insta-love, and that’s exactly what happens with both Holly and Ivy, which probably made it harder for me to connect with the story. The epilogue also felt a bit off—kind of like the end of a sitcom where they quickly recap everything that just happened. While the premise of swapping Christmas vacations and falling in love is cute, I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if Holly and Ivy each had their own books. That way, we could get more character development, plot depth, and a stronger story overall.
