Always a fan of Anna Hackett!

Excited for the rest of the Sentinel Security series, especially Bram!

I enjoyed seeing Hellfire and Steel explore their relationship more. This one had a lot more appearances from past characters which made it fun to catch up with the other couples. I think the bad guy felt a little lame though. I would have preferred a different kind of motivation from them.

Didn’t love that Killian kept doing things without talking to Devyn first or even after she’d express concern or a “no.” I think it would’ve been much more interesting and satisfying to watch him beg or wait for her to break.

I always feel terrible when I didn't like something by an author who has brought me a lot of joy in the past, but sadly Steel and Hellfire both felt flat for me, and there wasn't a compelling sub-plot or fun secondary characters to win me over as can often happen with Anna Hackett's books. Of course I will be reading Excalibur and counting down until Hex, but I hope both books will be a bit more enthralling than Steel.

Reading one of Anna Hackett's books is always a fun time. Now we have Killian "Steel" Hawke and Devyn "Hellfire" Hayden, and they are like a couple of superheroes, and they are PERFECT in this story. I read this book in one sitting and enjoyed it like a fine dessert. It flowed at a quick pace that kept you on the edge of your seat with action, you need a fan for the steamy scenes, but more importantly, the characters had you rooting for them all the way. You can read Steel as a standalone, or you can read the entire Sentinel Security series. YOU. CANNOT. GO. WRONG. This is a fun series

Love the story, love the series and love the characters. It’s just as good as I expected.

Really disappointing. There was almost no real tension in this relationship between Devyn and Killian. Despite the build up of their relationship over the previous books. It was a bit weird that Devyn was a virgin for so long, and then immediately fell into Killian's bed. The dialogue was so stilted, even in the sex scenes. Honestly had none of the charm of Anna's previous works.
