Cute story about coming of age and dealing with grief. Wren's character is hilarious with his way of narrating his thoughts.
Cute ending with Leo and Wren realizing there feelings and having a little online relationship as well.

I'm gonna be honest, what got me to read this was the chickens on the cover (the ace representation too but the chickens are so cute). Absolutely worth it.

Loving the mlm ace representation. The story is quite cliché and agonizing at times, but I think that’s part of its charm. I didn’t really love the ending as much as I had hoped, but I still enjoyed the build-up. I do wish Wren’s asexuality was a bigger focus, though. I liked the few brief rants he gave about it, but in the end, it didn’t really have as significant of a role in the story as I had expected.

Oh my gosh this book was so cute and just … like the perfect cup of tea on a chilly spring day. I wanted to live inside of it because I loved Wren and Leo so much my cheeks hurt from smiling at the end. HOW WERE THEY SO OBLIVIOUS AND CUTE these idiots I swear. 🥹🥰

*spoilers*

Things I loved about this book:
Wren’s sarcastic personality won me over immediately. I loved him so much. I laughed a LOT. He was so grumpy it was adorable. But like.. only really grumpy in the morning. 😅
Leo!!! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Nerdy👏🏻hot👏🏻is👏🏻a👏🏻vibe👏🏻!
I loved the Buddy app conversations. Adorable and heartfelt all at once.
Some very frank conversations about grief, losing someone, and holidays. Really felt seen here.
Love the asexual and aromantic rep here. Felt organic and I loved the realizations/thoughts throughout the story.
The friend group turned out to be pretty amazing.
Those little *love notes* were adorable.
I loved when Wren realized his feelings for Leo.
Asking Leo to the dance. 😭
The moment they know.
Those last couple chapters were cuuuuuute!
Loved it loved it loved it.

Just didn’t hook me. I think I may need to take a break from books set in high school.
