This book was a good look at what mental illness can do to a family. It's a good read

I think this one was BY FAR my all time FAVORITE Cathy Lamb book! The story is great and I think one that most women can relate to in some way shape or form. I loved the different characters in this one while Cathy Lamb still maintained her signature of sarcastic humor mixed with real life emotions.

So much to like about this book! The writing isn't my favorite, but the story line(s) are so interesting.

My biggest issue with this book had to be the dialouge, it was stiled and awkward and not how anyone talks. I liked the story line but the characters were all shallow stereotypes with no depth. I really only finished the book because I was curious about the ending, but the writing left a lot to be desired and it was difficult to get through at some points.

The characters of this book were outstanding. But the story itself was so boring.

I tried for almost 150 pages, but I just couldn't get into this. The characters are so overly quirky that they are not at all believable, and I had a hard time imagining any of the dialogue actually ever taking place.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book....what I got was an unexpected novel that showed the perseverance of people and how humans can go through incredible challenges, but still come out alright. I thought this book was fantastic.

So many great reasons to love a book! Loved how her relationships changed throughout the story! I'll definitely read more by Cathy Lamb!
