this book scared me a bit lol
a young girl buys an old dollhouse at a thrift store, takes it home and wakes up IN THE DOLLHOUSE. OMFG. It was a quick read being 96 pages but it was suspenseful and awesome. If you love books about scary dolls, pick this up NOW!.

3.5 stars. Creepy. I will never look at dollhouses the same.

I was really looking forward to reading this but.... I'm so disappointed. I felt it could have been so much more.

I can't believe it took me this long to read something else by William Sleator, who wrote my favourite book Into the Dream. I doubt anything will ever live up to that, but this was a quick and creepy little read. Ganglia!! I wish I'd read this as a kid, but I still really enjoyed it and I look forward to finally checking out more by this author!

2023 re-read:

This book was even scarier now. I'm annoyed with the parents for buying her an *antique* dollhouse rather than a bike. Then after all the action happens they don't just burn it to the ground, they sell it to another family with a daughter. I'm so happy I never had a dollhouse.

Also, do not read this in the same year as How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix. Boy together are they even scarier!!!
