Prior to reading this book I felt Elin’s books were all starting to blend together. However, this book was amazing, unique, funny, sad, heartwarming and real. The characters were all crazy in their own way but so enjoyable. I want to have a 5 start weekend!

This one definitely fell flat for me. It was enjoyable enough but I didn’t really like the characters much and all the endings just tied up way too neatly. Everyone got a happy ending, even the adulterous piece of crap and Hollis moved on from that betrayal wayyyyy too quickly for me. Overall my biggest issue was that the story just felt shallow and not even slightly realistic in any aspect.

4.5/5⭐️ based on the premise of this one, i knew id love it. drama, friendship, family dynamics, grief, and a fun weekend to explore it all. this book really impressed me - i love elin’s writing. glimpsing into so many different lives can at times make a story too muddled but i never feel that way with her books. it only enriches the story further! great summer read :)
