This volume was all over the place, way too much going on. And it felt a bit didactic at times, too. I found it hard to keep track of all the characters from the order and the royalty.

I am beyond invested in this story at this point and I'm frustrated (in a good way) that I'm almost caught up on what's happening in the series! The art is so great, the moral quandaries are complex and interesting, and the trigger warning added to chapter 49 very thoughtful <3 On to volume 10!
