okay lemme preface with i love razor-sharp feather-soft master manipulator shara wheeler. she did NOTHING wrong and i am ride or die for her.

what a fun ride! and such a fun look at the southern queer teen experience. you have to find community, really carve it out (sometimes where you never thought you would) in these restrictive environments. but having your people, even if only for a limited time, makes it all bearable.

it took like 100 pages to really get me invested but once i realized even the main character knew shara was just a teenager pulling a ‘paper towns’ on everyone it got way more enjoyable. all of these kids are so dramatic i love it.

chloe, babes, you were so annoying but also so relatable to my teen experience so yeah

overall had a blast and damn i love how open ended it was! very honest to the high school experience; most of these people won’t be in your life in a few years and there’s so much growing to do, but this, right now, is your whole world

I didn’t think I was going to cry reading this book and then I read the acknowledgements….. so yeah you can probably guess what happened (thank you Chloe, Smith, Rory, Georgia, Shara, Ash and Benjy)

This was a very fun read but the plot is a bit wild (and holey)
