I completely and utterly adored this book. It has everything I think I could possibly want in a Christmas romance - a beautiful queer romance (and a childhood-friends-to-lovers one at that!!!), a cosy small-town setting, fabulous side characters, well-developed friendships and family relationships, and an overall relatively lighthearted story with the perfect amount of angst, tension, and pining sprinkled in (and this also explores grief really well). Yes, it was a bit cringe-y and over-the-top at times, but I just had the absolute BEST time reading it and it was exactly what I wanted and needed - and I can see it being one I revisit for Christmases to come.
I'm also SUPER excited to get to the sequel, as I absolutely loved Ben and Adam's characters in this one and so can't wait to get so much more of them!!!
