I like Eve as a rapper and I will say she's a good storyteller in the sense of being able to keep your attention.
Now is this the best memoir I've ever read? No!
Did this give me a lot of surface level information? Absolutely

And while I was reading I was wondering who are the people in certain stories? I was wanting more detail, but I guess she wanted to protect the people.

It was a quick, surface level read. It was bad, but in my opinion, I FEEL like when a person says memoir, that means in depth conversations about a person's life.

I mean, it was okay 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️. I don't feel like she shared anything particularly deep or insightful, but I enjoyed hearing about her life. Due to how short this was...the early sections about her life were more interesting to me than the back half once she became famous.

I think the length of this hindered it because she could've given us so much more (and to me it suffered for it) but, she has a nice voice and makes good music so I support.

I’ve always liked Eve, and her memoir made me like her even more. I really appreciated her introspection throughout this. I enjoyed learning more of the background behind her albums and her tv and film career. I also loved hearing more about her marriage and her son.

I chose to read this audiobook and loved Eve’s narration. Her tone was conversational throughout which made for a great listening experience.

“Ayo, I don’t even know you and I hate you. All I know is that my girlfriend used to date you”.
Absolutely love this song by Eve. Just wanted to mention it!

Her memoir, narrated by her, was wonderful. I loved learning about her upbringing, the behind the scenes of her time as a rapper and on her shows Eve and Queens, filming the Barbershop franchise and her time as a wife and mother.
