Fine, fairly shallow, basic celebrity puff piece with no real meat. I didn't know much about the 90s rap scene so that was interesting - but there's certainly more in depth sources out there.

It was a solid read. I didn’t realize that I forgot what an illustrious career she has had. I am impressed with her and all that she has achieved. I am happy  and that she is happy!

pretty standard (at times dry) memoir. i straight up didn’t remember she had a tv show on abc or that she was on the talk. i appreciate that she kept it real about her negative moments.

I enjoyed this overall, especially on audio with Eve narrating. I witnessed and appreciated Eve’s rise in real time but, maybe because it was before social media, there was a lot about her story and background that I never knew.

I definitely think she could have skipped the story about asking Sean Combs for business advice given all that has since been revealed about him. The story would be just fine without it.
