Imagine being upset because nobody will call you Beans and then falling for a guy who has a handshake and dorky chant that he does with his buddies at the end of all their hangouts? I would rather die
I have had this book on my tbr for while. I finally had some time to sit and read it over the weekend.
I really enjoyed Demi and Romeo! Was it an enemies to lovers romance? I would say yes but throw in a bit of insta-love.
Romeo and Demi grew up differently. Romeo was known to be a bit rough around the edges while Demi was the town "princess". I loved the banter between Demi and Romeo when he was in her coffee shop to pick up drinks for his mom and sister. The moment Demi steps into his gym to ask for personal training for self defense Romeo instantly goes on guard to protect her. These two have forces working to push them together even though Romeo had always looked at her as the "enemy".
I loved how their relationship naturally flowed from "enemies" to friends and then lovers. I LOVED Romeos friend group! I loved how they bantered with each other and opened their arms to Demi. We can't forget "beefcake" he had some of the best moments in this book!
I was not really expecting all the family drama but I was here for it! I love a good book that has some family drama in it or suspense. I am so glad Demi held her ground with her father.
I can't wait for River's book next!

One of my most anticipated books and it definitely lived up to my expectations! First 5 ⭐️ read of the year!
This definitely gave me modern day Romeo and Juliet vibes but obviously with a happy ending!
Romeo is the ‘bad boy’ of Magnolia Falls and Demi is the Princess. Both run in different circles but when they start working next door to each other they can’t help but bump into each other.
Romeo comes off a little rude to Demi when they first meet but we come to learn there’s some bad history with her family, which he soon realizes that Demi knows nothing about. Demi is the complete opposite of Romeo, always happy and sees the best in everyone, which is why his behavior doesn’t deter her.
These two were everything! The way they couldn’t get enough of each other, even though Romeo was determined to stay away from her, he couldn’t resist her!
These two just make me so happy and giddy! I just love them so much! The build up to their relationship was perfect! There was so much drama surrounding them but they never let it get to them, they were such a strong couple!
I loved Romeo’s friends, the way they instantly welcomed Demi into their group. And I absolutely loved Beefcake! Just wait till you meet him, he’s adorable!!
This book could not be more amazing! A definite must read! Drop everything to read it, you won’t regret it!
