What a beautiful book - the writing is so poetic and heartfelt it blew me away. It touches on so many difficult topics but in an incredibly sensitive way, I was swept away and heartbroken all at the same time.

The writing and prose is beautiful and all the different perspectives made this book truly thought-provoking and profound.

I wasn’t sure how every story would tie together but the ending was so good and gut wrenching.
I didn’t think Iris could be redeemed, but by the end I really enjoyed her character development.

The writing style is super jarring, but about 1/3 through I was acquainted enough with the characters to follow the narrative without having to read back a page. It's a challenging story of generational trauma, motherhood, love, understanding oneself and told through a family's eyes. It is beautiful and sad.
