I thought the story was executed very well, and I appreciated the format. I’ve read novels in verse before but never one quite like this one. I feel like I got to know all of the characters equally, and I loved how much the story dove deep into the past before returning to the present.

A beautiful book, the end of the book hit me hard, I wish we saw more after the ending, but also it ended in the perfect way.

lovely series of reflections from several generations of the same family. not necessarily united by telling a single narrative, but providing glimpses into moments in the lives of several generations of this family. beautiful.
the most profound inclusion of 9/11 or Tulsa that I've encountered - not about these events, but about how they shaped the experiences of the characters.
