Great to read as group poli-ed. Spidery - makes me want to go read up on a variety of housing (and real estate) subtopics now.

Great combination of sharp, Marxist analysis of the “real estate state” and vivid narratives of tenants’ collective struggles. Recommend to anyone interested in or involved in housing organizing, and even anyone forced to pay rent every month just to live.

god this book made me angry. so so angry. and also i really got quite emotional at the stories of tenant solidarity and the sheer ingenuity of the human spirit. landlords are leeches through and through and it makes me Mad

So inspiring and eye opening and huge focus on community! Only complaint was that I wanted more!
