A very slow start--there wasn't even a murder until 70 or 80 pages in. I didn't identify with any of the characters and finally abandoned this book half way through as I didn't care at all what the outcome was. No hooks, bad character development, and nothing to hold my interest in the plot.

This mystery is flawed but still interesting. There were definitely times when it did not make sense (and I don't think the problem was my reader comprehension.) I suspect poor editing. The plot stretches credibility at times. Nonetheless, it is one of the most unique plots I've ever read and was definitely entertaining.
