Very fun and heartwarming. I always enjoy how Tan's works carry multiple layers of meaning.

Weird but good which is really what I'd expect from this author. The writing is really good. Clearly Eric is supposed to be very small, but it is the part of the story I like the least. Very wordy for a picture book, so this might be more of an illustrated book. The art works, the length works. Short and interesting.

The front and back covers of this book caught my eye and the title caught my curiosity. I loved the story and the illustrations. I think it is an enjoyable story.
