This was laugh out loud funny and had me up late reading to see what happened next. The ending was a delightful twist and the romance angle really spiced things up. I recommend taking the time to read this one.

Very good gothic style romance even if it was predictable at times. I will say I was a little disappointed after reading some of the reviews that complained about soft porn and gore since there wasn't any. Oh well, maybe next time.

I enjoyed this book but I did feel I couldn't warm to Penny much, but that's probably because she is a tofu eating health food shop owner and I'm not. Still a good little mystery though.

Stephanie Bond's books make me laugh, as did this one, but it feel flat compared to the Body Movers series.

This story was a quick read, humorous, & kept me guessing. Penny's newly divorced in a small town & can't seem to avoid her X husbands mistress & X mother in law. A voodoo festival is in town bringing out the craziness. After Penny's divorce party her X ends up dead & she's the prime suspect. Her divorce attorney steps in to help. Add in a sexy out-of-towner that makes her blood run hot & a cast of suspicious characters. Are they friends or foes? Who & why was Deke killed? Kept me guessing till the reveal at the end. Another book follows in this series

Penny Francisco is having a hard time dealing with her divorce from her cheating husband, Deke. So when Penny's friends throw her a Happy Divorce party, Penny decides she needs to move on with her life. With a voodoo festival in full swing in their little town of Mojo, it isn't surprising when someone gives Penny a voodoo doll of her ex as a gag gift. Penny feels a little liberated and justified when she uses the pin to stab the doll in it's cheating heart - that is until her ex is found dead later, stabbed in the heart and Penny is the only one with means and motive.
