I'm slightly disappointed because this book came so highly recommended. The setting of it is beautiful. But the story kind of dragged on in some moments, while others felt too fast paced. Also, there's nothing I like less than a love triangle, soooo... It's not a bad book by any means, I'm just not the audience for it.

The prose were very beautiful. And I found the plot fascinating.
A few problems I had.
1. It took me a bit to get used to the tense used. Its first person past tense. And for whatever reason that took me a minute to get into.
2. The villain reveal at the end felt like it came out of no where. I did not like who was the villain. It did not feel foreshadowed in the slightest.
But overal I had a really good time. The journey that the charter went on was very I treating and the ending was perfectly satisfying. And the MC is a really good character and what is happening around her changes her and helps her grow.
I really enjoyed this book.
If you liked this book I would recommend cinders of glass by Celeste baxendell. I think that they have similar character development.
Also a random side note. The word crimson was used a lot.

Tahle YA fantasy inspirovaná čínskou legendou o bohyni Měsíce mě velmi mile překvapila <3 Příběh je totiž napínavý od prvních kapitol, vede ho sympatická hlavní hrdinka co činí rozumná rozhodnutí a představuje vám zajímavý svět, o kterém mě bavilo zjišťovat víc. Druhý díl si rozhodně nenechám ujít, protože tohle bylo super zpracované a poslouchat audioknihu byla jedna radost <3

A beautifully told fantasy story. The romantic conflict was really nicely done as well.
