not a single sentence in this book was shorter than a page long (i think there are only like? 50 sentences total) and it felt like i was reading a book made by piecing together thousands of tiny little notes stuffed into cracks in the wall. it was great loved it

Amazing novel. This is not one you can simply pick up and read, you need to want to read it. I have wanted to read this book since as long as I can remember, but I knew I wasn’t ready. I ordered the book last year (in 2018), it was used and was dated 1983 - exactly why I love used books. Anyway, I finally decided to start this amazing journey and I was not disappointed. I am a person who enjoys reading 2-4 books at a time. Not in this case, though! I was not able to start any other book and I am glad for that! You need to drench yourself with this book. There is barely any dialogue, barely any punctuation. It is an on-going, demanding narration. It is truly a work of art. I almost never reread books, but I know I will need to read this beautiful, funny yet tragic novel again.

Too lyrical
It’s like there are no sentences, no paragraphs, no plots.
I don’t know where the narration is going.
Heck I’ve read dry philosophy books but this just felt even more dreary and dry and I just ended up reading half of it and then skipping/skimming through the rest of it.
Did not like.
