Love this author, such a clear voice and great storytelling. Listened to the podcast series awhile ago but also really enjoyed this book

A bit of recycled material from the Revisionist History podcast, but with enough new material and insight for it to be worth the read/listen.

Interesting premise but full of historical inaccuracies. Gladwell has this tendency where he wants something to stand for something much bigger than it can support. This book is Gladwell in a nutshell.

I can always count on Malcolm Gladwell to take a topic that I think I have no interest in and make me interested.

The themes got muddled and the end tries to tie it together- but never quite got here. I did love the story and the characters.

As always with Gladwell, I am impressed by the detail and vibrant voice. This one lacks some of the breadth of his previous works, and in returning to a topic from some prior work (bombings and ball bearings), it feels slightly repetitive. The promise of the opening is only partially realized, and while he introduces a wide cast of characters, few are fully developed in this text. Still was good, just not great.
