Slow start, felt rushed but the ending was nice. I got a little confused on some aspects towards the middle. It felt like they were throwing things at the reader and moving on to the next thing quickly. I wish the book was longer to better develop the world or the relationship between Cath and Jest and bit more and understand the universe they live in. Caths ending was amazing ngl, we love to see a badass women get revenge--i just wish there was more murder. Overall a solid book, but I wouldn't want to read it again nor would I recommend buying it, rent from a library or friend.

Sweet Hearts, this book was amazing.
After reading a second time I must add that I will never get over just how wonderful this book really is. As a huge fan of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Edgar Allan Poe, I can’t ask for anything better than Marissa Meyer’s Heartless

If you LOVE Alice In Wonderland, then you will love this retelling with different characters, abilities, and some similarities! Marissa Meyer did a wonderful job in keeping some aspects similar in the true Alice In Wonderland fashion! Step into this world and you won’t be disappointed or you could depending on your perspective.

This book had me reading sooooo fast because it was so easy to fall in love with Cath the main character! If anyone wondered why the Red Queen came to be, this book depicts just that through Cath’s journey of Nobel life as a lady, love, heartache and revenge. The title is the exact epitome of what happens when a heart is broken beyond repair. -Heartless

I loved this book It could have been it wasn’t written bad, I was hoping for a good ending with cath and jest but the way the author conducted The Queen of Hearts becoming this unemotional empathetic character was amazing, also why do I think taht Raven is like this hot guy 😶 i really connected with the main character as well with the whole king being the annoying guy in the picture. on to my next read

This was a DNF for me, it’s only redeeming quality was that it was at least a little humorous but overall it was boring and too ridiculous to truly be interesting. The main character Cath is shallow at best and it’s hard to root for her. Jest the love interest and Raven are by far the best thing about the entire book but even they aren’t interesting enough to help the plot.

if there is one thing Marissa Meyer can do right it's fairy tale retellings. I adored the Lunar Chronicles and Renegades, so how could this book not be amazing?

i really enjoyed the characters, but I've seen the movie and I know she ends up with the king so that kind of overshadowed the entire book for me. I did find the worldbuilding a bit lacking but cool anyway. When i started it was kind of weird and janky but i got used to it. this book was more of a romance but it was a slow burn and I like those so it was nice. the whole peter thing was strange but i called it ever since lady peter was acting concerning at the party. i was angry at Jest because he was like "oh, you should marry the king but I love you" dude, pick a lane.

last thoughts, it was enjoyable execpt for the end. You should read if you like romance.
