4.37 AVERAGE

'Clockwork Prince" by Cassandra Clare, continues the story of Tessa Gray, Will Herondale, James Carstairs, and the rest of the Shadowhunter gang, as they face new obstacles, one that may determine the fate of their future, together. Whilst Tessa grows much closer to James a.k.a Jem, does she truly love him? Or is he just someone to make her forget the first boy she's ever loved? The boy, named Will Herondale.

WOW!! I must say,I really enjoyed reading this book! I mean, I stayed up until 4.30 in the morning! And I wasn't even finished yet! I cannot wait till the next book! XD

this sequel was definitely better than the first book. the characters were more fleshed-out, tessa was less annoying, and the beginning was more compelling (i couldn't put it down once i started reading it!). but the story remains the weak point of this book. i felt like we were running in circles, without advancing the plot.
adventurous medium-paced

Not as good as the first book, but that can just be the typical 'second-book-syndrome'. I still liked it and am curious to see how this ends.

The first time reading it I believe Tessa only loved boy 1 and settled for 2. After rereading I can see how she loved both but I really think she loved 1 more

The nostalgia w in these books for me is what’s helping me finish them so quick. They are quick, easy reads though. I missed Cassandra Clare’s writing tbh. Having said that
Jem deserves better. Maybe it wasn’t known to Tessa that she was falling to him in place of Will, but imo that’s what happened and it’s just cruel. And now to just appease him because he’s dying? Has he not already explained he hates that shit? Anywho, I can’t remember exactly how this is about to play out, but Good Lord am I stressed.
