I’m crying and my heart and soul have never hurt so much!!

It’s so hard to describe reading @brittainycherry novels, it’s such a f**king eye opening experience that just makes you drown in so many emotions but then her words feel back in to safety ugh.

Also, I’ve never cried in an authors note before so thank you for that! No, but honestly, knowing some of these feelings were based on real life experiences broke my heart but made me love this book that much more.

I just can’t even concentrate right now, I don’t know what to say. BROOKS TYLER GRIFFIN, the world needs more like you and Maggie May ugh you’re such a fighter and kind gentle soul and they’re perfect together and belong together and I’m so damn happy to have read their story !!

I just love this book it my favorite in series so far.. brittainy c cherry knows how a story with great characters..

Wow. This book was amazing. It was heartbreaking and beautiful. And there was so much love. By the time I finished I didn't even care I ugly cried through a chunk of it my heart was put back together and full. And Brooks...that guy-swoon!

Did i read it in one setting? Yes!
Is the writing really good? Also yes
What happend then?
I love the side characters, the story even it velt real. It velt like real trauma and showed different sorts of trauma.
The love story was just a bit cheesy and overboard and didn’t felt as real as the emotional part of the plot.
The heroine was flat aside of the way se experienced the trauma what did we learned from both mc. How did we connect? I didn’t (that could very much be a me problem)

Was it different that expected? Yeah
Maybe its the thing when somebody hypes you so much up and you get disappointed because it doesn’t live up to it.

What a ride! I was setting my expectations kind low after really not liking the previous book in the series, The Fire Between High & Lo, but that only made my enjoyment of this book so much greater!

The characters were all written so beautifully and even though there were quite a few to meet within this fairly short novel, Miss Cherry made sure to spend enough time with each to get to know them and all their hurts and happinesses.

I also think the traumas were dealt with delicately yet realistically. After reading some of the other reviews of this book that were more negative, I noticed the trauma aspect being a main star-reducing point to many of them. The truth is, no one responds to trauma the same way, and sadly there are too many people in this world that would rather just patronize and ignore those that suffer just because they don’t follow society’s expectations of how to react and heal from trauma. Miss Cherry illustrates these types of people in the book as well as the many others that will stand by loyally no matter what.

Lastly, I loved how this book was so family focused. Contemporary romance books usually center around the main couple the most, but I really like how The Silent Waters was a story about the bonds of love and devotion between parents and children and siblings and friends, just as much as it was about romantic love.

The only thing I can think of that could have really taken this book to its peak would be to bring things full circle for Maggie and have her fulfill her dream of becoming a librarian, perhaps back in that tiny town where her life turned around. (Not too jazzed by her decision to follow Brooks around the world as he toured).

If you are looking for a heartfelt story to fill a few hours on a rainy day, give The Silent Waters a read!

This book was freaking amazing. This is only my second book by Brittainy Cherry, but I'm totally hooked. Her writing is amazing, and her books always bring out the feels in me.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good read!
