this book broke my heart and put it back together all at once
This book made me feel depressed. There is a happy ending but if it was supposed to make me feel hopeful, it didn't. It was like 95% sad and then 5% happiness. It just wasn't enough to lift my spirits in the end.
Liked this more than the 2nd in the series, but not quite as much as The Air He Breathes.

Quite a dramatic book. Some of the analogies seemed forced. I would've liked to see more ot how Maggie overcome her struggles (realistically?) as opposed to the miraculous, sudden progress she made. It was an engaging read nonetheless.

I cried a whole lot and I loved every second of it. It made me sad and extremely happy at the same time,

This was the sweetest story. Maggie May is so sweet and strong and I want to protect her from the world but I know Brooks is going to do the job better than me.
