This was such a wonderful read! It is very heavy-hitting in terms of the over-arching themes of grief and loss but it was really well-done. I loved Rumi's perspective and getting to follow her journey so closely. So many of her concerns about her future were written so realistically. She is also asexual + aromantic; she doesn't specifically use the labels for herself but discusses how they align with how she feels. Her descriptions of her sexual and romantic orientation seem to be realistic based on what I've read by reviewers of those identities. I also loved the side characters and getting to learn more about them and their lives as foils for Rumi's. This is my first read of Bowman's and I am definitely looking to read more of her work!
