Beautifully written. Painful, supernatural, yet so human. A masterpiece.

I had previously read Junji Ito's rendition of it and was excited to read the original. Frankenstein focuses on the ethics of scientific experimentation and good vs evil. The monster never wanted to be evil and even wanted to be part of humanity until he was repeatedly rejected. It shows how circumstances can change which side prevails between good and evil. This book also shows how even though we can, it isn't always best to. In modern media, the monster doesn't get enough recognition for his intelligence. He literally learned a language from scratch just by listening to the family. The monster is so well articulated. I enjoyed the story a lot and how well of a character the monster was. I definitely recommend reading it.
