What a heartbreaking story about immigrants and deportation. This was a really emotional novel about one family in two countries. The unwavering love and family bond was so special. I did at times get confused when the perspective changed and they didn’t tell me haha

I loved the non-linear timeline and I feel that the story greatly benefited from this aspect. I hate how little I knew about immigration before reading this book but it is a must read if you want to learn more.
