I just finished this book and wow, what a ride. I can't say much that hasn't been said by others. Like a lot of people, I wish there was more plot. I know the book is probably supposed to be kind of like an exploration or Martyr rather than a linear story, but there was a point where I was halfway through still wondering when the plot was going to begin. I enjoyed the novella within the book, but it felt like I was reading the novella, interrupted by bits and pieces of Martyr's own story, whereas I wish it were more of the other way around. I will say, the dialogue felt very needlessly formal and unrealistic, which took me a little bit out of the universe. I also wasn't a fan of the fact that

the book did not have a concrete ending

, but I understand why it was so. I still enjoyed reading this and will have to reread it now that I know all the twists!

Interesting take given that it's fiction within fiction. Reminded me of the black mirror episode "play test" a little bit in the beginning. Very confusing on the last 2 chapters , seems rushed and unfinished without making sense
