This whole series remains fuzzy. The author does a great job of conveying the characters confusions over their current and previous lives which I now take to be purposeful rather than sloppy. Things often have a quicker or smaller payout than what they would seem and reading essentially second or third hand accounts makes the narrators even more untrustworthy and confusing. The world is still interesting as are the motives and goals of the main 7-8 characters the I care about.

I didn't quit reading this book out of disgust or annoyance, I just set it down at the end of chapter 9 and forgot about it. Some weeks later, I'm not curious enough about what happens to pick it back up again. Given that this is book three, I think I've given the series enough of my time.
