This book was too long, too many characters, and frankly too boring to care about.
Premise was good - delivery was lacking.
I can't even bring myself to give a synopsis of the book because there was too much going on that didn't matter or bring anything to the story.
Even if you are a fan of Liane, I urge you to skip this one. not worth the time I gave this audio book.

I had a great time with this [audio]book! I found the story engaging and rich, and a lovely, intricate portrayal of family in challenging & ambiguous circumstances. i thought it had a feel-good ending, i love the friendship that develops between Savannah and Joy, and I love that Savannahs horrible behavior is treated with such empathy.

this book was fine... kind of a slog tbh. 500 pages of tennis references, vivid depictions of eating disorders, weird toxic relationships and repetitive dialogue. there was some sweet stuff in here about love and family n whatever but not the most engrossing story

this was a lot of build up for a not so great ending. almost as if the author decided not to go with the original ending that they spent the entire book leading up to. im all for plot twists, but this all just seemed to come out of left field.
