A little drawn out but it kept my interest and I do like how Moriarty develops her characters. The ending was satisfying! And I love that. Hard to find in a book lately.

Loved the pacing and structure of this book, it juxtaposed well the mystery with the exploration of family dynamics. A little too long imo but Moriarty is a v talented wordsmith tho so made the extra 150 or so pages bearable. 

Good for fans of:
- sweeping generations family novels
- unreliable narrators
