I love reading Liane Moriarty on vacation, but this one just didn’t live up to expectations. The writer is famous for her plottwists but this one was too far fetched for me. Still very good written and an enjoying read though.
Book club book.
This is a book of interesting characters doing some stuff- the joy is in the characters
I loved the parts that were from the pov of a background character- a waitress, a receptionist etc.- observing the family and giving us a glimpse into how others see them.
Worked really well as an audiobook. The Australian accent is great to listen to.

2.5.
started out as a very promising read but the 'mystery' when revealed fell so flat, it was almost comical. almost. all those nuggets leading to the big climax, FOR WHAT? THAT???? meh.
I will say, however, that I did not feel bored while reading it, I was actually excited, curious but.... *shrugs shoulders like the Delaney men*
I have to say I really liked the friendship between some of the women, like with Sulin, Debbie, Joy, and Caro. that was nicely done.
the book delves into the world of the married with their betrayals, sacrifices, love, violence, and everything in between and some aspects were written very well while some barely hit the 'mark' (whatever that is).
it's a hit and miss, that's what this book has been.

held my breath when Stan held Joy. Liane definitely knows how to end her chapters.it's a hit and miss, that's what this book has been.

Clever plot, interesting characters, and well written (especially enjoyed how the “present day” chapters are all told through the narratives of non-family members while the “past” chapters are told through the narratives of the family). It could have ended a few chapters earlier, I’m ambiguous of how I feel about the very ending.
