I really enjoyed this book! Holly made me want to find the murderer and kept me guessing. I liked that the resolution was built up with little hints throughout the whole story even though the information that really led to it was only introduced pretty late in the novel.
The only things I can criticise are that sometimes Jet was a little slow to follow certain hints and that imo it is a little odd how Billy was immediately okay with what happened in the very end, I personally think it would take more time to make peace with that.
But overall it is a great book in which the reader can solve the murder alongside Jet and Billy!

The premise was interesting and the plot was strong. The weirdest thing about this book was that the structure was great but the actual writing was flat. I also wished there had been clues about the ending rather than it coming out left field at the end... There was no "oh how could I have missed that" feeling when it's a completely new concept at the end.

Jet wants to accomplish something big in her life, for herself and to please her parents. She tells herself she has time. Until an event occurs that defines the rest of her short life.
Holly Jackson writes chapters that made me want to know who and why. I kept turning the pages. Her characters are diverse and unique enough that I knew who was who.
In the end, this book was good. I’ll probably remember the premise plus Jet and her letters, but not other details. Our book club had an interesting discussion about the characters and plot and what we would do differently than Jet, Sophia, Luke, and Jack. If you like thrillers, mysteries, or true crime you’ll probably like this one.
