The only reason it's 4 stars is because of how it was fairly easy to guess the different leads. The minute a problem came up I solved it

Sophia was an absolute idiot. Poisoning your step-father in law just sp hes retire is so dumb. Be couldve died.

That family had so many swcrets it was crazy. A cheating wife, a daughter-in-law poisoning her father-in-law, a brother being from an affair, like thats worse than MY family drama

This book was a nice surprise, I thought it would be a great mystery. It is a good mystery, not great. But it is a wonderful romance and also very funny. I loved the main character, jet. I loved the love interest, Billy.   Great characters!!

3.5 stars

You know how you look at your life and think “wow am I boring?” Those thoughts will go away and you’ll thank the universe for your uncomplicated life after reading this.

Honestly, I hated every single character. They were so SO UNLIKABLE (except Billy, love you). Jet’s family was SO UNBEARABLE. Not “ We Were Liars” level of unlikeable but getting there. I don’t think any of them liked each other. It was like every single person was drowning in grudges. This black mass of little things they’ve done over the years that was just waiting to explode and each one kept poking it, waiting to see if it would explode and then backing out of doing it because guess what? Family matters. And worse, not only were they horrible to each other, but were not good people in general.

I liked how much Holly used medical terms that were pretty accurate to what she was describing happened. However, I don't think Jet would've lasted that long with an injury like that. Weirder things have happened thou so.

Holly really managed to keep my attention with the mystery. It was very well build and organized. I think the little clues she left for the reader were very well placed and had me second guessing a lot. I sadly did figure it out before the big reveal so it wasn’t that shocking to me. Kind of predicted what would happen, but it was still very much entertaining. (It also made me realise how distrustful I am. So yeah) I would definitely recommend it, specially if you’ve enjoyed her other works.

Predictable and slow it takes her 3 chapters to figure out what we figured out. It seems like Jet has the mind of a 13 year old “popular” girl, just very inconsiderate and selfish without caring who she hurts and has no sense of consequences. There’s a lot of plot holes and loose ends that aren’t tied up either.
