Beautiful

Every book I read in this series makes me fall deeper in love with Ms. Skye Jordan! The couple & their story is unique and fun every time but the trials they face are very real, huge issues that face many people today. I applaud Ms Jordan for taking these on & writing such poignant stories about life with Chronic Illness, as in "Rendezvous," and also PTSD, Severe Anxiety, Depression, Claustrophobia, Isolation, Childhood Abuse & Neglect, Foster Care, & many others in the previous "Renegades" books. I can't wait to move on to the next and when I finish this series, I want to see what she's done outside of this! I'm thrilled to get to know more of her work!

Rendezvous, the newest addition to the Renegades series, was the perfect "me time" escape! Savvy dialogue, emotional upheavals, and a cast of characters that makes you wish you lived in their world, all made for a story that drew me in right from the start! (Also, bonus points for the setting of the story-Austin, Texas! Whoop!)
Fans of the series know that Keaton is notorious for attracting all the ladies, and he usually winds up with the ones you wouldn't take home to mom. In Rendezvous, Keaton recognizes that something's missing from his life. Enter Brooke...the one that got away. Well, he's not sure she was "the one", but he definitely feels like it was a missed opportunity. The budding movie industry in Austin, Texas sets up the perfect scenario for them to cross paths. Of course, their chemistry is off-the-charts! (I don't think Skye Jordan would give her readers anything less!) Keaton and Brooke decide to explore this chemistry, despite the fact that they're on borrowed time.
I was completely hooked, reading along as the couple dealt with a ghost from Keaton's past, and Brooke's work and family issues. If you're a fan of the other books in the series, I hope you've already picked this book up. If not, you've got some catching up to do...and you're gonna' love it!

My favorite lines from the book: "She instantly lightened his heart. And if she could do this for him after almost a damn year, he couldn't even imagine what his life would be like to have someone as awesome as Brooke around him every day." (Loc 195) Cue the swoon, y'all! Keaton is amazing!

RENDEZVOUS is both incredibly erotic as well as heartwarming. There’s a really great connection Keaton and Brooke share that transcends anything either of them have felt before. And it’s not just the physical that draws us in, but the wicked craving that Jordan creates with her writing. The two of them felt an out-of-control feeling but I, as the reader, could feel it too. They were wild and intense and magnetic. It leaped from the pages and passed on through the rest of their relationship and it made it that much better.

I enjoyed Brooke and admired her for her warm, perky personality that she maintained even with the bad hands she had been dealt in life. She complemented the brooding and edgy outward persona of Keaton really well. But he was a surprise too…I really loved him and the rock he was for a person like Brooke. I loved getting back into the stunt business with our Renegade men; seeing them support and bring more to the story. I really can’t wait to get more of them and see where the old ones have gone in the next book if there is one (which I hope so!).

Egads this series is good!!! Stuntmen, martial arts masters and a tug on the heartstrings all combine to make this a wonderful tale. The renegades may all be rough around the edges but they all have a core of gooey goodness and love to help out a damsel in distress!

Keaton is loyal, tough and downright deadly but takes such good care of Brooke and her nephew, treating them delicately. Brooke is a never ending spring of optimism, her defence against all that life has decided to send her way. What a brilliant couple! I can't wait to get more!!

Keaton Holt is my new favorite leading man. I love it when a man can have any woman he wants because of his attitude and he chooses to focus it all on one woman. Brooke Dempsey…THE ONE! This author captured it perfectly as a woman in a bar described him in detail:

"That rock hard body. The grungy jeans and boots. The way you wear leather.
The way you walk, the way you sit, the way you drink. Your scowl, those dark,
intense eyes. A better question would be what about you doesn't make me think
rough, hard, screaming-great sex?"

Just reading that again has me turning the fan on high. BRAVO Skye Jordan! Keaton is an AMAZING main character. By the way, the character of Jillian made me want to PULL OUT MY HAIR!!! I can't wait to read more of this fantastic series.

3.5 STARS!!
Goodness I hearted Keaton. He was a successful stuntman for the Renegades and I was on board as soon as I saw that he was a sixth-degree black belt. Say what? His life has become stagnant, at least as far as his love life or lack thereof. He's looking for more and fate steps in and hands him Brooke, the girl that got away. Now Brooke I didn't have alot of love for. Although I admired her devotion to her family, I found her lacking in maturity. I felt that the many ways in which she hurt Keaton throughout this story were unnecessary and avoidable and I was disappointed that she suffered no real consequences or repercussions. Keaton was the one doing all of teh work for their HEA. Not cool. But at least I got some Keaton out of the deal ;)

So loved this newest addition to the Renegade series. Rendezvous is Keaton and Brooke's story. First off, I absolutely adored how Keaton wasted no time in claiming Brooke. He wasn't trying to play games with her or play her, he just wanted HER. As much as Brooke wanted to be with Keaton she had a lot going on. Specifically her wicked boss Jillian, who just happens to have been intimate with Keaton long ago and of course, wants him again.

I think this is my favorite story so far. The love affair is intense, the emotions are intense, this will definitely suck you in quick. Also a quick shout out to the comic relief of the other Renegades and their women. They made the ending just that more special.
