S McPherson is such a cool academy author! This is a genre I just got into recently and I’m addicted. I’ve read a few academy books here and there. But this one is unique.
Ryleigh is a thief and trying to survive. Dante is a fighter and also trying to survive. When their worlds collide, there is tension and sparks. There is chemistry between the pair but also so much more! Turns out they will both be going to Dark Saints Academy to protect the world from the demons that run rampant. The academy itself is so unique... with actual cherubs and an interesting system of how each person will be divided. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book like this, in a good way. It did remind me of Magnus Chase; just because of the whole same type of gods and vibes even though this book is about saints and way darker. Still that’s also one of my favorite books so I like getting this vibe from it!
Ryleigh and Dante have such good chemistry as well. Ryleigh is the darkness and he is the light so it will be interesting to see how their relationship will play out in future books. I don’t want to give too much away about this book because it’s so unique. Definitely check out this read because it is worth the time!
